Alternative Service Committee: Booth at Benefits Expo, handbook for university support staff

The Alternative Service Committee will have a booth at this year's Benefits Expo on Oct. 3 in the K-State Student Union Ballroom. Information about university support staff will be available and Alternative Service Committee members will be present to answer any questions classified employees may have regarding university support staff.
The booth display will have the following information:
- Announcement of the vote
- Revised white papers
- Information on the vote
- Electronic and paper
- Ballot question
- Updating your eID and password
- University support staff handbook
- Dates and times of President Schulz’s town hall meetings
A handbook for university support staff has been developed for classified employees to review prior to the vote Nov. 19-21 regarding the conversion of classified positions to university support staff. The handbook is located on the Alternative Service Committee website. Classified employees who need assistance to access the handbook should contact Alternative Service Committee at alternativeservice@k-state.edu or Carol Marden at cmarden@k-state.edu or 785-532-3932. The handbook contains details of the policies and procedures for university support staff, as well as the changes from the white papers.
