Job Description: Charlotte has a highly eclectic academic and professional background, so she is active in many areas of the department. As Head of Playwriting, she coordinates the various playwriting courses and oversees original student productions in the Purple Masque Theatre. She also founded and continues to oversee Midnight Madness, and improvisational late-night original play experience that happens once a month on campus. Charlotte also works with student directors on many projects and coaches student actors for professional auditions.

Bio: Charlotte has directed over 50 productions of plays, musicals, and operas. She has worked as a professional director and playwright on the West Coast and in New York City, and has been an Artist in Residence at Michigan State University. She has won numerous awards in playwriting and has worked as a guest director and playwright at the prestigious Idyllwild Arts Academy outside Los Angeles, California for four summers. She has directed plays selected for participation in the American College Theatre Festival and has received numerous ACTF commendations in Directing and Sound Design. Charlotte also has an extensive background in Music and creates the sound design for all her own productions.
