Based off the Arthur Miller classic about McCarthyism and the Red Scare as told through the lens of the Salam witch trials, the opera tells the story of a man trying to protect his wife from the rumors of witchcraft spurred by his attention-hungry former mistress. The opera won the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Music and is one of the most performed operas by an American composter – and we’re happy to bring it to life once more at Kansas State University.

Directed by Jennifer Vellenga.
