    • Where we are as a group (what our role is right now)
      • Transfer Orientation & Enrollment Days
      • Facebook page
      • New advisors, members – clean slate
      • Unorganized
      • High membership turnover rate
  • Where we are going as a group (where we want to be in the future)
    • Prestige
    • More outreach
    • “Household name” – Known on campus
    • Resource
    • Social media/marketing
    • Mentor program
  • Transfer students are:
    • Motivated
    • Experienced
    • Less patient
    • Disengaged – stereotype
    • Have the “know to know” – stereoptype
    • Falling through the cracks
  • Questions we need to have answers for
    • What is our purpose?
    • Where are we going?
    • How are we going to get there?
  • Nametags
    • We need these no matter how simple so that we can be easily recognized
    • Have to be worn on the right side of our shirts
  • Appearance at events
    • Members need to be consistent in dress and be held to it
      • For example, all members be expected to wear khakis/black pants and same shirt at events
    • Appearance will affect our attitude and interaction with others
    • It will create an identity for us
  • Own K-State but specialize in TAP
    • Our group needs to sell K-State altogether, but specifically be able to help transfer students
    • Never let students know that you don’t have an answer or don’t know what to do. Use your resources to find the answer for them, don’t just say “I don’t know, sorry”
    • Be confident, go beyond your duty to get information to satisfy a student
  • Have touch points
    • Organize fun events such as a pizza party, coffee hour, meet and greet to get transfer students to meet with us
    • Decide what we want transfer students to get when they come here
  • Follow all four Disney Service Basics all the time (see Disney Service Basics attachment)
  • Learn to script language before we interact with transfer students so we know how to handle questions that are tough (Aggieville, off campus housing)
    • We don’t want to lie to transfer students about these topics, we want to bridge the conversation to something positive and K-State related
  • Helping transfer students should take priority over anything logistical in our program
