Transfer Ambassador Program

April 9, 2013 8:00 p.m.

 

In attendance: Melissa Bekemeyer, Kiah Gourley, Shelby Wilson, Liz Stasiewicz, Suzy Fowler, Sarah Potter, Stevie St. Clair, Elizabeth White, Jacelyn Hejtmanek, Allison Dulac, Morgan Grimmett, Kelsey Darnell, Sarah Loughridge, Austin James

  • Brittany Garcia presented on Black Student Union

 

  • Gift Mart – Tuesday, April 16 in Union Courtyard
    • 8 vendors
    • Will put ad in K-State Today
    • Pick up fliers from 119 Anderson TODAY! Post in buildings where you have classes, your Greek house, residence halls, etc.
    • Will have TAP table like last semester with baked goods and homemade items
      • CANNOT sell rice crispy treats, cookies, brownies, donuts, scones, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and most beverages
      • Have baked goods to Bill and Deana by Monday before 5 pm or Tuesday am

  • Open House – Saturday, April 20
    • Will send out final volunteer schedule as the event gets closer

 

  • Transfer Orientation & Enrollment – Monday & Tuesday, April 22 & 23
    • Need volunteers to direct traffic during registration in the morning, stand at TAP booth and K booth, walk schedules and appointments
    • We have the doodle poll filled at this time, but you are more than welcome to stop by and talk to students if you have time

 

  • End of Year Banquet – Thursday, May 2
    • Will be at JP’s in Jardine complex
    • Thursday, May 2 at 6:30
    • If we make enough money during Gift Mart, you will not have to pay for your meal

 

  • Next Meeting
    • April 23 at 8:00
    • Julia Wright from Hale Library will be presenting about her upcoming research dealing with transfer students and utilization of the library

 

  • Officer Elections
    • President election will be held at the April 23 meeting
      • Applications due to 119 Anderson Friday, April 19
      • Please see attached officer application
  • All other officers will be elected at the beginning of the fall semester

 

  • Job Opportunity
    • Admissions with Bill and Deana
    • Primary duties include mailings and data entry, assisting with K Booth at transfer events
    • 20 hours per week – Prefer you work a couple of hours at a time
    • Need to be able to work at least on Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Preferred office experience
    • Start in August and work through the school year
