Summer at K-State

K-State Summer Institutes

Kansas State University offers several on-campus programs and institutes over the summer as an opportunity for students to focus on a program of study and gain valuable educational insights in a short amount of time.

With a growing number of subjects and disciplines, these summer institutes are designed to add additional value beyond just the completion of additional coursework. And because these programs are offered in the summer, students have the opportunity to branch out and add a certificate or minor to their degree program without having to push back their graduation date. Other students may find summer institutes a great way to ensure they “Finish in Four” years.

K-State Summer is offering the following programs in 2017:

Conflict Resolution certificate

Students will learn to address the complexity of people's lives, help them build a sense of community, foster mutual respect and cooperation and teach them to rely on fairness rather than power as a basis for resolving disputes.

Business minor

Students will have the opportunity to complete an entire business minor over the course of a single summer, while also taking advantage of exclusive professional development opportunities. This program is open only to students outside the College of Business.

Jump Start business transfer program

Designed for students transferring into K-State and pursuing a business degree, this program offers the opportunity to become acclimated with K-State and its many useful services, while also giving students a head start on course work.
