The Study Abroad Process at K-State

Arranging a study abroad program is not as challenging as it may seem!  To get an idea of what you can expect, follow your student through the step-by-step process below.  If you or your student have any questions, contact a Study Abroad Advisor at (785) 532-5990 or overseas@ksu.edu.

Attend Study Abroad 101

Study Abroad 101 is a general information session hosted by the Study Abroad Office.   Stop by to find out about programs, scholarships, and get all your questions answered!  For current dates and times, see our Important Dates and Deadlines page.

Learn about Our Programs

We offer hundreds of programs in over eighty countries, which vary by length, coursework, housing, and many other factors.  Check out Learn about Our Programs to see which type of program is best for you.

Search Our Online Database

Once you’ve thought about the type of experience you want to have, search our online database to find the programs that fit your interests.

Browse by Major or Minor

We highly encourage you to consider a study abroad program that best fits your major or minor.  When you browse by major or minor, you can download a Major/Minor Advising Program, or MAP, to provide you with basic information about study abroad programs, suggestions for faculty-led and exchange programs appropriate for your major or minor, and information about other relevant opportunities, scholarships, and financial aid.

Explore Past Student Experiences

Read testimonials of K-State students who have studied abroad to explore past student experiences and get a better idea of what you would like to study and where you would like to go.
