Guides for Majors and Minors
We highly encourage that your students consider a study abroad program that best fits their majors or minors. Not only may they take prerequisites and major or minor requirements abroad, but they even may be able to complete a major or minor and graduate early!
Below you will find Major/Minor Advising Programs, or MAPs, organized by college. These documents (PDFs) provide you with basic advising information about study abroad programs, suggestions for faculty-led and exchange programs appropriate for your students' major or minor, and information about other relevant opportunities, scholarships, and financial aid. Download your MAP and click on the hotlinks to learn more about a given topic, or print off a copy to have for your office. You may also find hard copies in the Study Abroad Office. Student versions of the MAPs may be found under Browse by Major or Minor in the student section of our website.
Note: If you don't see your department's major or minor posted here yet, don't worry! We are currently developing MAPs for all majors and minors. If you would like the Study Abroad Office to create a MAP for your program, contact our Curriculum Integration Advisor, Matthew Yates, by phone at (785) 532-5990 or email at mkyates@k-state.edu.
