Incoming Exchange Students

Welcome to the website for International Exchange Students!

Please note that the information contained on this page only applies to students participating on a one or two semester reciprocal exchange program between Kansas State University and their home university.

Degree-seeking international students should instead refer to the ISSS webpage for information related to studying at K-State (this also applies to students from South China Normal University, South China Agricultural University, the University of Costa Rica, Costa Rica Institute of Technology, the University of Zamarano or one of our Paraguayan partners).

To begin the application and selection process, you should contact the Study Abroad or Exchange Office on your university campus. Once you have been nominated by your home institution, you can then complete the application form and supplemental materials. Upon completion, give the application to the outgoing exchange coordinator at your university, who will send your nomination and application materials to:

Course Enrollment Information

Once you have been accepted to Kansas State University, you will be assigned an Academic Advisor. Before this happens, you should review the courses available for the semester(s) during which you wish to attend Kansas State University.

Course availability by term can be found on our website at http://courses.k-state.edu/schedules.html

You will be required to enroll in at least 12 credits (also referred to as units), and the exchange will cover the cost of tuition for up to 15 credits.  Please note that if you choose courses with special participant fees attached to them, our office may not cover the cost of those additional fees. Additional information about course enrollment will be sent to you once you have been assigned an Academic Advisor.
