B.A. (English) Michigan State University
M.A. (International Education) SIT Graduate Institute
I grew up in Lansing & East Lansing, Michigan, but I've worked in the study abroad office at Kansas State since the fall of 2009. I'm currently the interim director of study abroad, but previously served as the assistant director and as a study abroad advisor at KSU. Prior to KSU, I worked as the study abroad outreach coordinator at Western Michigan University. As an undergraduate at Michigan State, I participated in a faculty-led study abroad program to Florence, Italy where I studied Italian language and culture. I was also able to explore my family roots in Poland as an undergraduate. Upon graduating from MSU, I moved to Madrid, Spain, earned a TESOL certificate and began teaching English to business men & women. I taught English in Spain for about 2 years, before returning to the US to begin my graduate program in International Education. Within my graduate program, I focused my final Capstone project on international internship programs, and created an international internship program at Western Michigan University. While teaching in Spain, I also met my wife, who was studying in Spain from Australia, her home country. I've visited many countries in Europe and Asia, and have been to Australia several times. I hope to visit more countries in the future.
