Kansas Students Medal in Virtual USAD Competitions
Chad Bergman, Olathe Northwest, placed in the top three in six different categories on his way to earning the highest score of all Scholastic students in the 2008 medium sized school virtual competition.
Independence High and Olathe Northwest High School competed in the USAD virtual competitions May 1 & 2 nd in the small school and medium school divisions.
Varsity student, Samuel Williams from Independence won a bronze medal in the mathematics division for his team effort.
Michael Kist, Varsity competitor from Olathe Northwest, earned a silver medal in mathematics.
Chad Bergman, Scholastic division, was a big winner for Olathe Northwest earning a third place in Written Super Quiz; second place in Language & Literature and first place in Economics, Essay, Science and Art. Chad was the top scorer for his team and earned the highest score of all Scholastic students competing in this years medium size school virtual competition. Chad will receive a $750.00 Scholarship from the United States Decathlon for his achievement.
