Changing Plans in Different Programs
Purpose
Use this procedure to change a student's Academic Plan to that of another Academic Program.
Trigger
Perform this procedure when a student requests a Plan change and the existing Plan and new Plan are in different Academic Programs.
Prerequisites
· Student must have acquired necessary permissions from the Academic College(s) to add and to remove the Academic Plans from their Program/Plan stack.

Helpful Hints
· This process involves discontinuing the existing Academic Plan and adding a new Academic Plan.
· When Discontinuing an Academic Program, always make sure that all Academic Plans within that Program are inactive.

The academic entity to which the student applies and which oversees the degree progress of a particular Academic Plan. The Program is controlled by each College and is made up of a 4 or 5 character code. For example, ASUDG = College of Arts and Sciences (AS), Undergraduate (U), Degree-Seeking (DG) plans.
