To bring together individuals who wish to promote Sri Lankan life and culture in Kansas State University and the local community in Manhattan. To promote ethnic diversity and multicultural understanding in Kansas State University and the local Manhattan community.

Vesak Celebration 2012
SLSA celebrates the most prestigious annual VESAK CELEBRATION on 05/12/2012 (from 4:00 p.m.) at Jardine with colorful Vesak lanterns and Bhakthi gee, which commemorates the Birth,Enlightenment (2601 years ago)and Final Passing Away of the Lord Buddha. This year's Vesak also ushers in THE BUDDHIST NEW YEAR 2556.

New Year Festival 2012
Sri Lankan community in Manhattan, KS proudly celebrated their Sri Lankan traditional New Year on 04/21/2012, Saturday at Tuttle Creek State Park.
