Welcome New Sigma Kappa Parents!
On behalf of the Theta Tau Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority, it is our privilege to extend heartfelt congratulations on your daughter's pledging. We are very proud of our new member class, and we look forward to sharing the many joys of sorority membership with them.
Our Chapter has an excellent new member education program called Promise, which incorporates Sigma Kappa traditions and history with an overview of the privileges and responsibilities of Sorority membership, while offering opportunities to become an integral part of the Sigma Kappa sisterhood.
The primary component of Promise is scholastic development. Our Chapter is committed to academic excellence and is very proud of the Sigma Kappa tradition established on our campus. We ask our members to strive to earn the best grades possible. To be in good academic standing, we require members to earn at least a 2.3 gpa. To assist members in doing so, our scholarship program offers information on study skills, time management, tutorial assistance, and campus resources.
We have a wonderful Chapter house located at 1525 Denison Avenue to house our members during the school year. Sigma Kappa Sorority provides housing rules for its chapters to ensure the safety of its members. In addition, we ask each of our members to complete a medical information form so we can provide the best care for our members throughout their stay in our house.
