FAQ's

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR STUDENT MEMBERSHIP?
Student membership is open to all engineering, math, physical, applied, and computer science majors. All others are invited to become associate members. Graduate students have the option to join SHPE either as a student or Professional Chapter. If you choose not to be affiliated with a chapter on your campus, you will be considered an "At-Large Member", classified by your geographical region. Members "At-Large" receive the same benefits as those who belong to a chapter.

WHAT IS THE MEMBERSHIP TERM?
The Student Membership Term runs from July 1 to June 30. Students must renew their membership on a yearly basis to be eligible for the membership benefits.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I GRADUATE?
For persons who qualify for regular membership and have graduated less than six (6) months ago. This person will receive a one year free membership and is entitled to all mentioned under Regular/Professional Members. (Application must be submitted.)

WHAT ARE THE ANNUAL DUES?
Annual collegiate student membership dues are $10.00. SHPE National charges 50% of the fees and 50% are due to the KSU Chapter.

CAN I PAY WITH CREDIT CARD?
Credit card payments are only available for the National dues of $5.00.

HOW DO I JOIN SHPE??
To Join SHPE as a college student member, simply submit a Membership Form along with your annual dues of $10.00 ($5.00 to SHPE National and $5.00 to KSU-SHPE). Submit application to:
