New Flexibility Available for Verification Requirements

New flexibilities are now available to Kansas State University to use for completing verification of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) Currently Unavailable

The IRS Data Retrieval Tool on fafsa.gov is currently unavailable. FAFSA applicants can provide requested financial information from copies of their tax returns, or, if selected for verification, can submit a 2015 IRS Tax Return Transcript.​

Financial Aid Award Notices sent to Incoming Fall 2017 Freshmen

New students who have applied for assistance through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, will get an email of aid packages available to them starting in February.

Earlier FAFSA, Earlier Financial Aid Awards

Incoming and continuing students who will be attending Kansas State University during the 2017-2018 year can complete their FAFSA beginning October 1, 2016. With the FAFSA launch date earlier, freshmen admitted for fall 2017 should anticipate a financial aid award offer in February 2017 provided all requested documents have been received.

Going Green with your K-State E-Mail Address

Starting with the incoming 2017 class, all financial aid communications will be e-mailed to your K-State e-mail address. Students should check your K-State e-mail account regularly for actions we may need you and/or your parent to take and, of course, to find out when your financial aid package is ready for you.
