Federal Direct PLUS Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note
Financing a higher educational experience is an investment the future. If parents decide to utilize the Federal Direct PLUS Loan in meeting their higher educational costs, a clear understanding of rights and responsibilities, as a parent loan borrower, is critical to managing personal finances.
Consequently, all first-time Federal Direct PLUS Loan borrowers must complete an online entrance counseling session and Master Promissory Note (MPN).
To complete the online entrance counseling session and MPN, parents need their Federal Student Aid PIN. This is the same PIN used on the FAFSA. For more information on the PIN, parents may request a duplicate PIN. When completing the online entrance counseling session and MPN, parents must list Kansas State University as their school.
