Message from the Director
Welcome to the K-State Tap Dance Ensemble homepage. Our ensemble is committed to sharing tap dance with the local and regional community. We do this by offering live performances and lecture demonstrations. In addition to our performances, this unique ensemble is committed to the International Tap Dance Association. The ITA supports and promotes Tap Dance worldwide.
The K-State Tap Dance Ensemble is beginning its second year with a number of events on our calendar. Throughout the year 2008 the ensemble has performed at more than 30 events that include the local Manhattan Retirement Communities, Elementary and Middle Schools, with the Manhattan Municipal Band, Leonardville, Kansas town celebration, K.A.W. Historic Mission Ice Cream Social, Friends of the Library Gala, Community Cultural Harmony Week, Dance for the Cure Concert, The Sunset Zoo SpookTacular, and the McCain Series Savion Glover Pre-Talk show. All proceeds from our events directly support the K-State Tap Dance Ensemble.
