Mission Statement
The Developing Scholars Progam has the following intentions
- To engage selected students in scholarly activities with faculty at Kansas State University;
- To increase the numbers of intellectually curious underrepresented students (students from multicultural backgrounds or first-generation college students) who choose K-State;
- To improve the retention of said students by matching them with faculty mentors to provide early opportunities for scholarly research in their field of study;
- To guide said students toward graduate and professional schools;
- To provide a more diverse community of scholars and a faculty more cognizant of diverse perspectives.
