Favorite thing about K-State:
My favorite thing about K-State is the sense of community displayed around campus. Everyone is just so friendly and supportive of each other; it has made for a great environment.

Favorite part of DSP:
Getting the opportunity to work closely with faculty mentors while exploring a topic of interest more in depth. It is also so nice to have a group of individuals who are passionate about their studies, and who you can connect with for support throughout the school year.

Most important lesson you have learned through being an Edgerley-Franklin leader:
Through my Edgerley-Franklin experience, I have learned vital skills to becoming a more successful leader. Throughout my time with the other amazing scholars I really feel as though I have gained essential tools necessary to make a difference throughout the community and continuing on throughout my future experiences. My passion for serving others has grown tremendously due to this program and my fellow scholars.

Advice for an incoming student:
One piece of advice I have for incoming students is to take full advantage of all of the resources made accessible to you on campus. K-State faculty truly do want you to be successful so don't be afraid to take the time to ask for help.

Future plans:
Become the Educational Director at a Museum

Fun fact:
When I am not busy working away as a scholar I spend most of my time as the coxswain for the Kansas State Women's rowing team.
