GRA Positions in Biofuel Research
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work at Kansas State University anticipates the availability of two PhD Graduate Research Assistantships, pending budgetary approval, starting either in January or August 2008.
The assistantship will be to work on a project analyzing the social, cultural and economic impacts of biofuels development on rural communities.
Four case study communities in Kansas and two in Iowa are the focus of the study, which will include survey research, demographic analysis, content analysis and in depth interviews with stakeholders.
The assistantship will provide three years stipend plus tuition for PhD students.
Kansas State University Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work offers master's and PhDs, with graduate program areas of international and regional development, rural sociology, gender, work and labor markets, criminology, and political sociology.
