He is a native Kansan who has worked in public welfare, clinical social work, community organizing and teaching social work at the university level for forty years. He has taught at KSU for 25 years. He is a disaster mental health volunteer with the American Red Cross, and he has been active in the Kansas Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
