Kansas State Sailing Club

The Kansas State University Sailing Club is based out of the Blue Valley Yacht Club in Manhattan Kansas. We sail on Tuttle Creek Lake outside of Manhattan. Right now we have seven boats ranging from one-person Lasers to the 22-ft cabin yacht Oz Spray.

A common question asked is if you need to know how to sail to join. Never Fear! Our main purpose is to teach people how to sail and the majority of our members are “beginners” so whether you have never sailed a sailboat or are an accomplished, competetive sailor, there will be a place for you in the club.

We're always looking for new members so if you're interested in joining please feel free to email any of us with questions or comments.  The club maintains a Yahoo group mailing list we can add you to if you are interested.

Club Commodore: Kyle Scott, kscott@ksu.edu
Club Advisors: Deon Van der Merwe, dmerwe@vet.ksu.edu
and Ruth Douglas Miller, rdmiller@ksu.edu

We'll See You on the Lake!

Thanks for checking us out!
