Finally the MSDS contains information on any special handling or storage requirements for the chemical.  Typical wording includes:  “store in closed container, in a cool, dry, well ventilated area, away from heat, sparks, and open flame.”  Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping information is also included.  While it is unlikely that you will be shipping any of the chemicals you use in the office, be aware that there are very specific DOT requirements for shipping hazardous chemicals.  Dames & Moore can be subject to big fines, and you will have to answer a lot of questions, if we ship chemicals improperly.  Contact your EHSC or RHSM for help if you need to do this.
