The spill response information on the MSDSs describes what to do if you have a spill or leak of the chemical.  These procedures are usually pretty general such as evacuating people from the area,  notifying safety personnel, removing sources of ignition, and providing ventilation.  These procedures are not intended for small, incidental spills that occur during normal use of the chemical.  These usually can be wiped up using the equipment you have on hand.  However, we are not equipped or trained to handle larger spills.  If a larger spill occurs, r, you should get people out of the immediate area and notify your supervisor, EHSC, or HSO.  If necessary let the fire department handle the spill.  They have the training and equipment...you don’t.
