This year we had the opportunity to attend two competitions! The first was a water event competition in Birmingham, AL. We placed 18th overall. The second was in our home state of Kansas. This competition  started out well with passing tech inspection the first time through and making it though all the dynamic events without any problems.  The final day during the endurance race our car was involved in a collision and experienced steering problems for the rest of the competition. Due to this we lost many laps and ended up 64th overall.

One might call this season a rebuilding year. We have few seniors; majority of the team were underclassmen.  KSU Baja only attended one competition in Bellingham, Washington.  Overall we placed 62nd, we gained more points on the design report and presentation than we have ever received.  On the endurance race our new design of our slip shafts failed; that is the main reason for our low score for the endurance race.  The car performed as inspected besides the problem with our drive shafts. It will give us a great start for the next season.

This season was great we went to two competitions and did fairly well. We placed 25th overall in Auburn, Alabama and 26th at Portland, Oregon.  The car performed extremely well in the Alabama endurance race.  We completed 20 laps and finished 8th.  The team also lost many seniors due to graduation.  The freshmen and those new to the club learned a great deal from them that year.

Last semester when Baja received more space in our shop after Formula left. We cleaned out the office and found boxes of pictures. These pictures are some of what we found.  I'm trying to develop a history for the team, so if anyone knows what year or any other information about these cars please contact me.  It would be great to have a large photo archive on our site.  As more info is known about these cars, the season will get its own post.  Any Alumni willing to fill in the blanks please email me with any info or pictures.
