Paris Traffic Circle

Pictures of a typical traffic CIRCLE at the intersection of city streets in Paris. Note these circles are NOT modern roundabouts and are not generally safe or efficient for traffic control. It is interesting that France now has about 20,000 modern roundabouts, but NONE are located in Paris. This does not keep oponents of modern roundabouts from making erroneous comparisons to confusing, inefficient CIRCLES such as these, and even to the Arc De Triomphe, even though the modern roundabout operates much differently -- safely and efficiently.
