aaSIDRA Traffic Software Training Courses-Australia 2003
ABOUT THE COURSES
The courses will combine hands-on sessions and instructions to
teach participantshow to effectively use the latest version of aaSIDRA
available, and how to apply and interpret results from the model.
Maximum class size is 20-30 delegates.
Presenters are Dr Rahmi Akcelik and Mr Mark Besley who are the
developers of aaSIDRA. To date, they have conducted over 60 SIDRA
workshops, training courses and seminars in many countries around
the world. To date, hundreds of traffic/transportation
professionals have attended highly successful aaSIDRA workshops
run by Akcelik and Associates Pty Ltd.
aaSIDRA ("aaTraffic SIDRA") is an advanced traffic analysis tool
for evaluation of alternative intersection designs. It has been
a popular professional tool for traffic engineers and planners
worldwide. aaSIDRA is now in use in over 1600 sites
in 71 countries.The countries where it is used most extensively
are (with the approximate number of sites shown) USA (600),
Australia (350), South Africa (110), New Zealand (80), Canada and
Malaysia (60 each), Chile, Spain and Norway (30 each).
