31-1 The Winn Feline Foundation Grants (The Winn Feline Foundation)

The Winn Feline Foundation is a non-profit organization, affiliated with the Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc., which supports research into medical problems affecting cats. The Winn Feline Foundation makes funds available each year for such studies. Studies general in scope are primarily encouraged; however, the Foundation is also interested in projects which address problems unique to individual breeds. If approved, a breed related project will be submitted to breeders for special fundraising prior to a grant award. All other projects will be funded upon announcement.

    Deadline: 12/09/96

31-2 Food Crops Collaborative Research Grants (USDA)

The Foreign Agricultural Service of USDA announces the availability of funds for FY 97 to conduct collaborative research of mutual interest to the U.S. and Egypt. The program, managed by the Egyptian Agricultural Technology Utilization and Transfer Project, is aimed at resolving the major constraints to increasing the productivity of four major food crops: wheat, maize, rice and faba beans. Proposals related to On-Farm Water Management in areas such as water requirements, water management and irrigation systems for the four crops will also be accepted. Collaborative research projects must involve active collaboration between participating Egyptian and American scientists. (FR 08/23/96)
