Each year, the Phi Beta Kappa Society is pleased to offer the Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship, awarded alternately in the fields of Greek and French. The $20, 000 award, to be used to support the scholar over the course of one year, may be used for the study of Greek language, literature, history, or archaeology, or the study of French language or literature. This year, the designation of the Sibley Fellowship is for French studies. Candidates must be unmarried women between the ages of 25 and 35 (inclusive) who have demonstrated their ability to carry on original research.
