Description of Research

My primary research interest focuses on how environmental factors influence drug abuse and relapse.  Specifically, I am interested in determining how environmental factors influence neural mechanisms in the brain, and in turn, how these neural changes influence one’s susceptibility to future drug abuse and relapse. In addition to the influence of environmental factors I am also interested in individual differences using a sensation seeking model, and how these individual differences influence susceptibility to drug abuse.
