The Advising Enhancement Task Force was appointed by the provost, the president of Faculty Senate, and the Student Body President because some units were failing to effectively fulfill their advising responsibility. Senior and alumni surveys indicated that although the majority of respondents were positive, some received inadequate advising. Almost one out of seven recently graduated alumni responded that poor advising required them to enroll for one or more additional semesters.
