Serving as Temporary Assistant Provost was a fantastic professional development experience for me. I had the privilege of working on a new initiative that allowed me the opportunity to participate in the design of a strategy to enhance engagement on and off our campus. This strategy included development of a faculty advisory group, describing a new center focused on engagement, and designing an incentive grants program. It provided hands-on experience in leadership at a whole new level for me. It was also fun to assist the Provost in designing actions that is leading to realization of a vision that he has for engagement at Kansas State University.
