What K-State is doing about food safety & security from farm to fork

Kansas State University has designated Food Safety & Security as an interdisciplinary program of Targeted Excellence. As articulated in a recent commentary, truer pictures of food safety & security problems can be painted by blending insights from multiple disciplines. K-State has a rich history of following such an approach. Today, researchers at K-State integrate disciplinary perspectives from the biological and chemical sciences; economics, trade, and policy; crisis management; and geography and the environment.
