| research interests: | Dr. DeGroot's research is focused on adapting information systems technologies to livestock production, primarily beef cattle, to support both early detection of exotic/emerging disease and management decision processes for enhanced profitability. As an extension of this work, he seeks to devise ways to help practicing veterinarians expand service and income opportunities related to management decision support, biosecurity, third-party verification activities and agroterrorism defense responsibilities. |
