molecular virology and recombinant vaccine technology of bovine herpesviruses (BHV), significant viral pathogens of cattle which cause upper respiratory disease and abortions and in cattle as well as neurological disease in calves. A detailed understanding of the molecular mechanisms of these diseases is important in designing prophylactic vaccines.
