| research interests: | pathogenesis of important infectious diseases of animals and development of strategies to protect animals from these diseases; identification, molecular characterization and functional analysis of antigen/toxins of Streptococcus suis, Mannheimia haemolytica, and Fusobacterium necrophorum. Dr. Chengappa also supervises the diagnostic bacteriology and mycology laboratories that provide services to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, college and university researchers, private practitioners, veterinary biological industries, as well as other colleges of veterinary medicine. |
