About Pre-Vet Club

The Pre-Vet club is one of the largest undergraduate clubs on campus! It spans two colleges [Agriculture and Arts & Sciences] and brings together a huge group of diverse students all interested in one thing-- veterinary medicine. The club strives to provide plenty of useful information and practical experience to students wishing to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.  We have speakers who speak on a wide range of topics.  Some of the topics include: ophthalmology, opportunities in Veterinary Medicine, necropsies, reptiles, mock interviews for vet school admission, small animal, large animal, pathology, dermatology, theriogenology, and more!  We also offer a case study speaker, which will speak the same night as the regular meetings, you just meet an hour before the regular meeting time.  Case studies is an opportunity to hear about different cases that a veterinarian has been involved with.  Also sometimes during case studies you will have the opportunity to tour the vet school or watch a necropsy. Besides regular meetings we also actively help out the community, participate in fundraisers, and take part in social events that will help bond the club.  To find out more information about the club you can contact any of the officers or just come to one of the meetings.
