American Student Assistance (ASA) announced that its free Saltmoney.org financial literacy website will be discontinued on December 31, 2018.
ASA student loan counselors remain as a resource to you providing neutral guidance to student loan borrowers with general Q&A or advice on working through difficulties in repayment. ASA counselors will continue to provide this support after Salt has been retired. They may be contacted via the "Live Chat" button on the right or at the following contact information:
Mon – Thu: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET
Fri: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET
(Note this contact email address will likely change with the sunset of Salt at the end of the year.)
A free online financial tool called CashCourse.org is available as a financial literacy alternative as well as online resources found here within the Powercat Financial website. Student loan servicers/lenders may also be contacted for any student loan support issues as usual, along with K-State’s Office of Student Financial Assistance. Current enrolled K-State students on the Manhattan campus and Global Campus may continue to seek financial education from Powercat Financial and request free individual financial counseling sessions via k-state.edu/powercatfinancial.
