MA Advising

Upon admission to the MA Program students will be assigned to Dr. Jim Franke for course related advising purposes.

After the completion of nine hours of coursework, students will meet with the Director of Graduate Studies to identify a Principal Advisor and Chair of the student's Graduate Supervisory Committee. This committee shall be composed of at least three members. One committee member may be from outside the Political Science Department.  Typically at least two of the committee members represent the student's area of concentration. Students are strongly encouraged to meet regularly with their individual Committee Chairs in order to plan course work, to map out the Area of Specialization, and to make career plans.

Internships are usually planned in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies.
