Policy on Academic Honesty

The Department of Political Science adheres to the university's policy on academic dishonesty. The following links detail this policy and provide additional resources on how to avoid plagiarism and other forms of academic dishonesty. They also contain information on reporting violations and student appeal procedures.

KSU Honor System (this includes Honor System policies and procedures, including procedures for reporting a violation of the honor system and for student appeals). The Honor System now fully applies to both undergraduate and graduate students.

POLITICAL SCIENCE STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS:
GRADUATE M. P. A. STUDENT ORGANIZATION There is an active M. P. A. student organization (K-ASPA) within the Department of Political Science.  Participation in this organization is an excellent way of meeting other graduate students and keeping up-to-date with departmental news and events.  In general, this organization is expected to foster professionalism among students. There is also a chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha-- the Public Administration honor society.
GRADUATE OPSPASS
OPSPASS stands for Organization of Political Science Public Administration and Security Studies. OPSPASS is a student group, where anyone at any degree level from any program (Political Science, Security Studies, Public Administration) can be a member. The purpose of OPSPASS is to : (1) Gather together individuals from Kansas State University and the local Manhattan area interested in Political Science, Security Studies, Public Administration and other disciplines related to these topics. (2)To promote the professional, educational, and civil interests of students associated with the Political Science Department. Additional information can be found on the M.A. Political Science Bulletin Board in Waters Hall on the 2nd Floor. If you have a particular question, we would be happy to help so please contact the OPSPASS members through the Political Science department.  Hope to see you at the next meeting.
