Vita
Dr. William Richter is Professor of Political Science at Kansas State University. He has previously served at K-State as Associate Provost for International Programs, Head of the Political Science Department, Chair of the Landon Lecture Series, and Director of the South Asia Center. Much of his teaching and research has focused on India, Pakistan and other countries of South Asia, where he has made several trips as Fulbright Professor, research scholar, consultant and public lecturer. He co-edited Combating Corruption/Encouraging Ethics and The Landon Lectures: Perspectives from the First Twenty Years and has written numerous articles, book chapters, and other publications on ethics, comparative politics, security issues, political though, and other topics. As Associate Provost until 2002, he coordinated K-State’s Office of International Programs and was responsible for expanding international opportunities for students, faculty, and other Kansans.
Dr. Richter’s current scholarly projects include a book on geopolitical perceptions and security issues in South Asia, a second edition of Combating Corruption/Encouraging Ethics, and related research. He teaches International Politics of South Asia, Administrative Ethics, and Political Thought.
