Kisangani N. F. Emizet

Vita

Dr. Kisangani Emizet is an associate professor of political science at Kansas State University. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Oregon and he received his Ph. D. [1994] in political science from the University of Iowa. Dr. Emizet teaches several undergraduate and graduate courses such as Political Inquiry and Analysis, International Politics of Africa, World Politics, Seminar in Comparative Politics, Introduction to Comparative Politics, and International Political Economy.

Dr. Kisangani has articles that have appeared in African Studies Review, Canadian Journal of African Studies, Comparative Political Studies, and International Journal on World Peace. He is also the author of Zaire after Mobutu: A Case of a Humanitarian Emergency, Research for Action 32 (Helsinki: UN/WIDER, 1997).

His present research focuses on civil-military relations and state disintegration. He is currently writing a book titled Economic Withdrawal and State Disintegration. He is also researching the economic integration and concerts of Africa, the massacre of refugees in Congo, and expansion methodology.
