Brianne Heidbreder
Brianne Heidbreder is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Kansas State University. She earned her B.A. from Minnesota State University Moorhead, M.A. from Kansas State University, and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Heidbreder’s teaching and research interests fall within the areas of state and local politics and policy, as well as public management. She has published on the topics of Education and Social Welfare policy, and has a forthcoming article that explores leadership perceptions in municipalities.
Dr. Heidbreder’s current research focuses on the policy process in state governments. Namely, she studies the role that governors have as agenda-setters, as well as the impact of interest group behavior on state policymaking.
