Greetings from the Kansas State University Percussion Studio and Student Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society!  We hope that you and your groups are enjoying the start of the New Year.  We are gearing up for our 3rd Annual KSUPAS day of clinics and solos.  On March 2, 2013 KSUPAS will host workshops at Dodge City High School in Dodge City and the K-State Campus @ McCain Auditorium in Manhattan.  Students will be given a 30-minute time slot for a lesson with their solo and a 45-minute time slot for a workshop session with their small ensemble (duet or larger).  The lesson times can be used to work on a solo or just as a regular lesson on any concert percussion subject.  Cost will be $7.00 per solo and $15 per ensemble payable to KSUPAS.  The day will also include a Concert Percussion Clinic with Dr. Kurt Gartner, Professor of Percussion at Kansas State University at ALL LOCATIONS!!  We are excited to get this rolling again this year and we hope that you and your students will take advantage of this opportunity!  To register, please fill out the form under the registration tab.  Deadline for registration is February 15!  For registration to be considered complete, we must have your online registration form and have received payment (check) by February 20 (the day before KMEA).  Checks can be made to KSUPAS and mailed to KSUPAS, Kansas State University Department of Music, 130 McCain Auditorium, Manhattan, KS 66506.   A complete list of available gear at each of the three locations is posted on the website.  Check to be sure we have the large items you need at the place you wish to perform.  A list of performance times for each location will be posted on Sunday February 24th.  To ask any questions email me at beichman@ksu.edu.  Thank you for supporting the student chapter of PAS at Kansas State and for your continued support of music education.
