New parking garage rises at the Union
Visiting campus will become a little inconvenient for the next 19 months, but it's all in the name of progress.
K-State is building a parking garage south of the K-State Student Union to create 1,400 new spaces for visitors and students. In the meantime, no parking is available at the Union, but a shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the east side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium to the Union and back.

Attending K-State a habit for one family
Phyllis and Jim McFadden, from Andale, sent their seventh child to K-State this fall. One of eight children, Monica McFadden, a freshman in journalism, says that positive talk about K-State from her brothers and sisters influenced her decision to come here, but that it wasn't the only reason.
