Homecoming Week

Come celebrate Kansas State with your student at this year’s K-State Homecoming Week, October 21-27. Homecoming Week is packed with fun activities and events for students, alumni and the Manhattan community. See the parade Friday night and trick-or-treat in Aggieville. See the Wildcats take on West Virginia at the football game Saturday.

Best-ever enrollment

Another enrollment record has fallen at Kansas State University. This fall, 24,581 students make up the largest enrollment in the university's 150-year history. The Manhattan campus welcomed 302 more students this fall compared to a year ago.

K-State ranked as one of the best colleges in the nation

Kansas State University continues its climb in the U.S. News & World Report's 2014 Best Colleges list. The university ranks 68th in the Top Public Schools category and 135th in the Best National Universities category that includes public and private schools -- up eight spots since the 2012 rankings. This ranking is great news for the K-State 2025 plan.

Building the future at K-State

Kansas State University is focused on the future. With the goal of becoming a Top 50 public research university by 2025, the university is improving its current foundation and adding new facilities to keep up with the growing number of students choosing K-State. Projects include renovations, additions and construction of the Student Union, a new residence hall, the College of Engineering, College of Business Administration and College of Architecture, Planning and Design complexes and the K-State Welcome Center.

Housing and Dining Services hours for Thanksgiving and winter breaks

Residence halls and the LC at Jardine close at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, for Thanksgiving Break and reopen at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. Residence halls and the LC at Jardine close at noon on Saturday, Dec. 21, for winter break and reopen at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17.

Does your student want to help fellow K-Staters enhance their campus experience? If your student is looking for a technology and customer service related job, they might be interested in checking out job openings at ResNet, the residence hall networking center.

Get involved with the PFA

The Parents and Family Association helps you connect to K-State. Our website keeps you up to date on events like Family Day and Open House, which give you the opportunity to come to campus and spend the day with your student.

Through the Parents and Family Advisory Board, you can participate in student recruitment events in Kansas and out of state. You can also help us raise funds to support scholarships and make enhancements to student life at K-State.
