2009 AWARD WINNER BECOMES FIRST K-STATE RECIPIENT
Molly Hamm, senior in English literature and secondary, education became K-State’s first recipient of the $5,000 Frank Newman Leadership Award. Hamm was recognized for her civic leadership and plans to implement a new mentoring plan alongside future President Kirk Schulz next year.

MUSIC THERAPY CLASS RECOMMENDED FOR EDUCATION, PRE-MED
K-State’s new music therapy class introduces the benefits of music when helping people with disabilities, especially for future educators and doctors. Teri Holmberg, the instructor of the course, feels collaboration with music therapists can be valuable on the job.
