WHAT CAN I DO WITH A MAJOR IN?

Connecting a major to a career is a challenge for many students. The Academic and Career Information Center offers a section on its website—What can I do with a major in?—where students can find a list of majors linking to career information to help start the exploration process.

ACIC’s career specialists can also help students explore and connect their career goals with academic programs at K-State. They specifically meet with students who want to take career assessments, explore what jobs are possible for a major, search the career library for ideas, find information on graduate schools, and more.

K-STATE IS TOPS IN SEVERAL FIELDS

K-State continues to rack up more accolades, and the most recent are in the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design, the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, and the Department of Physics. Landscape architecture; architecture; and interior architecture and product design have been ranked among the top 10 graduate programs by DesignIntelligence magazine.

The K-State robotics project team from the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering recently won top honors from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers for the fifth consecutive year. And according to U.S. News and World Report, the atomic, molecular, and optical physics program is one of the top programs in the nation.
