FIRST YEAR K-STATER RESEARCHES CANCER

During her first year at K-State, Kristina Bigelow is taking the road less traveled. A first-generation college student originally from a farm in Moran, Bigelow said she’s wanted to research cancer since high school. Through K-State’s Developing Scholars Program, she jumped into colon cancer research right off the bat.

K-STATE PROMOTES ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and the Sham-WOW guy had to start somewhere. Could the next big thing spring from K-State?
Through K-State’s new Center for Entrepreneurship’s “Next Big Thing” competition, anything’s possible. Students in the competition will present their ideas and compete for $9,000 in prize money. The winner might just be the next best thing.

After 13 years as dean of the College of Architecture, Planning, and Design, Dennis Law is following an old set of blueprints. He’s getting back into action in the classroom. During his time as dean, Law and his team improved architecture facilities and brought the architecture program soaring to an all-time high.
